Homecoming weekend has by far been one of the more interesting and funner weekends I have spent here at Dartmouth so far. We kicked off Homecoming weekend with a ton of EBAs pizza (which I am now an absolute fan of UPDATE: after two years in college, this crap is absolute poison and a drug. don’t eat this crap.) in the Brittle lounge along with some GREEN glow sticks to add some flare to the event. After that all the Choates residents grouped up on Choate Rd. to get ready for the Class of 2011 march around the campus. For those of you not familiar with Dartmouth tradition, each year the new incoming class does a march throughout the campus as they pick up new class members along the way and then finally arrive on the green to run around the bonfire however many times corresponding to their class year. So in our case the goal was to run around the bonfire as a class 111 times. This equated to roughly a marathon and given the tons of EBAs we had all had just minutes before, I gave up after 21 laps as did many other 11s. However, I’m proud to say that my roommate ran the entire 111 laps which is quite an accomplishment since only about 5 % of our class ran the entire 111 laps.
